Loads Characteristics
Since allowed momentary power interruption time of vast majority of IT equipments now such as servers, routers, switches, gateways, disk arrays and communications equipment, etc. is only about 0.01 to 0.02 seconds, which means that for critical communications, more than 0.02 seconds’ power supply interruption will cause “network paralysis”. Once this situation happens, resuming the network to normal operation will take tens of minutes to even a few hours. Clearly, users will suffer huge economic losses. For these reasons, we must consider to eliminate potential faults in output of UPS power supply system to ensure continuity of power supply to critical IT loads.

Centralized power supply：

For base station

Macro base station: Indoor 48V eliminator supply/ outdoor integrated communication power supply

（2 ）indoor coverage centralized power supply
Remote DC：On condition that distance from RRU to IT-room within 100m, outdoor integrated communication power supply should be adopted

（3）indoor coverage/outdoor coverage centralized power supply

（4）indoor distributed power supply
Independent power supply：outdoor integrated UPS, DC UPS（AC&DC mode）、outdoor 48V DC supply

（5）outdoor coverage independent power supply
Distance from RRU to servers room over 1500 meters, BBU independently connect to utility, RRU adopts independent power supply mode:
The outdoor integrated UPS, DC power supply (AC&DC power supply mode), outdoor 48V DC power supply.

Remote AC Mode:
Suited to the situation that RRU from servers room within 1500 meters, adopts an inverter (invert 48V power to AC 220V to achieve smooth power supply). Compared with the remote CD, remote AC can reduce losses in power transmission greatly.
